Saturday, December 1st, 2012 by Servage

In a series of earlier articles we have stressed the importance of backups and version control for your code sources. It makes your life so much better and less stressful to know that you are in control, no matter what happens. Take a developer-mistake or hardware-breakdown with a smile, and use the code you have available from your system. It’s definitely worth implementing. Furthermore it improves the way teams can cooperate around the same source code.

Version control usually implies backup, since the redundant availability of your code makes it available in case of a breakdown somewhere. However, you should always make sure that you have stored your code at least at two physically separate locations. Backups solutions like the Servage WebDrive come in handy for that.
