Screenr is a service which allows you to create screencasts online. It’s very simple, you just access their website – which loads a Java Applet – and then you’re ready to go. Normally I’m opposing lots of applets etc., but in this case it just works nicely, even on my Mac system.
“Screenr’s web-based screen recorder makes it a breeze to create and share your screencasts around the web. Just click the record button, capture your screen & voice, and share the link. Some people even call it fun!”
You can use screencasts for a lot of purposes. The most obvious one is to create presentations of digital content, websites, or maybe help material/guides for your users.
Screenr offers free users up to 5 min of recording time. Pro users can do more for a small fee.
If you don’t want to spend lots of money on some desktop software, you should definitely give screens a try. Video tutorials can greatly improve your customers’ satisfaction!
