Store important data securely

Tuesday, October 18th, 2011 by Servage

Yesterday you could read about the importance of using secure passwords, and a simple way to do it, with memorizable passwords. However, you may want to consider using extremely secure, random passwords, that differ for every user account you have. In that case you need some kind of password management software, that can store this information securely.

One solution is 1Password, which offers client software for multiple devices, and syncing functionality via Dropbox. Passwords are store securely in an encrypted file, and can be uses in browsers via plugins. Furthermore you can store any kind of data, like your credit card information, or other files. On top of that 1Password is available on Windows, Android, Mac OS and iOS, so you can really sync your secure data between lots of devices. Secure and practical.
