Via your Servage hosting account, there are several ways to administrate your files. We offer: the online filemanager, SSH and FTP. You find for all three methods posts in our HELPDESK system. In this blog, we like to give you some more info about FTP. FTP is the File Transfer Protocol and a standard network protocol used for the transfer of computer files between a client and server on a computer network. Client can upload, download, delete, rename, move and copy files on a server using FTP.
Via Servage, you can create unlimited FTP accounts with separate document root path. Please refer this HELPDESK POST to find out how to create FTP accounts via your Servage hosting account. To config your FTP account, you need the server settings: Hostname , FTP username and password and port. Click HERE to find out where in your account, you find these details.
As FTP program, you can choose what you prefer – there are plenty of free tool which you can find in the internet. Many of our customers use FileZilla. You find more details about that tool and how to use it via e.g. the following links:
